Meet the Team at Paramount Performance and Rehab
Russ Childers, PT, MPT, and Founder
Russ Childers, the founder of Paramount Performance and Rehab (PPR Fitness), is not only a highly qualified physical therapist but also a true sports enthusiast at heart. Russ holds both a PT license and a Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) degree. He established PPR Fitness in 2012, driven by his passion for sports and wellness. Russ’s journey in the world of athletics is marked by significant achievements, including competing in the WBFF bodybuilding regionals, coaching for his sons’ peewee hockey teams, and playing hockey for the Boston Gold Kings semi-pro hockey team. His passion for athletics, fitness, and active living provides Russ with unique insights into the challenges and needs of professional athletes, sports and fitness enthusiasts alike.
Russ founded PPR Fitness with one idea in mind—delivering positive results. We are a small family-owned and operated, outpatient clinic established in our community for the past 10 years. Our 2,200 square foot facility is equipped with top-of-the-line training equipment, including Eleiko barbells and plates, Atlantis gym equipment, black iron dumbbells, and Strongman equipment. We provide a range of training programs and physical therapy services to help our clients achieve their fitness and rehabilitation goals. PPR is NOT a dreaded Corporate Run, Burnout PT clinics where patients struggle to see results. Instead, PPR Fitness IS a hands-on, aggressive style rehab center focusing on delivering stellar results and continuous access to further learning. Many of our clients have worked with us for years or decades, underscoring our commitment to serving and staying connected with the community and offering our expertise across a range of services.
Danielle Childers, Vice President and Co-Owner
Danielle Childers is vice president and co-owner of PPR Fitness and actively involved in managing all aspects of the business. As vice president of PPR Fitness, Danielle not only oversees the gym’s operations but also plays a central role in strategic planning and development, ensuring that the gym stays at the forefront of fitness and rehabilitation trends while maintaining its commitment to client-centered service and community engagement. A 2006 graduate from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Pre-Med, Danielle combines her knowledge of human behavior and medical insights to effectively oversee all operations at PPR Fitness. Outside of her professional role, Danielle is a passionate “hockey mom,” and even plays hockey now and then! Her deep involvement in the day-to-day operations at PPR Fitness underscores her commitment to fitness and health and fostering an environment at PPR Fitness that is positive, team-oriented, and delivers results for its clients.
Taryn Chrysikos, DPT, CSCS
Taryn graduated from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 2017 earning a Bachelors in Exercise Physiology while minoring in nutrition. She went on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2020. During this time, she advanced her training career academically and attained her CSCS in 2019. During her undergraduate years, she spent time personal training and had the opportunity to work with a variety of athletes ranging from middle school to Olympians through an academic internship, where she developed her passion for strength and conditioning. When Taryn is not working, she enjoys spending time creating content and programming for her personal brand, Phlex Fitness, where she educates individuals about rehab, fitness, and nutrition. She enjoys listening to music and educational podcasts to further her passion for rehab, nutrition, and strength and conditioning. She also enjoys exercising, recreational sports, trying new foods, and spending time with family, friends and her dogs.
Josephine Taylor, Director of Operations
My name is Josephine Taylor and I am the Insurance Liaison for Paramount. My primary goal is to make sure that your insurance experience is as seamless as possible, so I will do as much of the legwork for you that I possibly can. I have more than 30 years of experience in customer service and love what I do! I have worked with my son-in-law, Russ Childers, for over 10 years. As a family business, we truly care for our patients’ well being. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and my grandsons who keep me on my toes! I also enjoy traveling and love riding on motorcycles whenever I can. Although I support all Boston sports teams, Patriots football is my biggest passion and I enjoy playing fantasy football. As a pet lover, I’ve enjoyed adopting dogs and cats and appreciate the joy they bring to our lives.
